"Alan Garnier qualified as a design engineer just at the right time when the oil industry was in a growth period and after becoming a technical manager for a major oilfield company he set up his own design consultancy which was exposed to global oil and gas industry locations, however a young family changed his direction and he bought over some hotels in Scotland and ran them with managers in place until fairly recently, (alongside running an engineering service company) with customer satisfaction being the number one criteria.
Holidays became caravan adventures ending up with several motorhomes including his current Benimar 486 which he has taken all over Europe, he particularly likes the garage area where he can securely store his road bikes as himself and wife are very keen cyclists, when not cycling he can be found teaching family and friends water-skiing at his beloved Loch Earn where he still keeps a ski boat and canoes.
He purchased his two most recent motorhomes through Motorhome Depot and during these transactions became familiar with the company and procedures, having sold the hotels and stopped engineering work, he saw the franchise with motorhome depot as a really sound business opportunity and one where he can use all his knowledge of motorhome technology and meet like minded travellers."
