Muted tones upholstery and gloss cabinetry convey a sense of calm and space inside this campervan from the highly thought of Pilote stable.
With a slide out kitchen section giving good prep space, a decent sized washroom and a rear lengthways bed, all of the bases are covered. A compressor fridge offers good space and there is plenty of storage throughout the vehicle. A two burner gas hob and recessed sink see to cooking whilst on the go.
The bed is orientated length wise, so is ideal for people over six feet tall.
The central section of the bed can hinge out of the way to carry large loads, and its mattresses are still in the polythene wrap covers.
Up front, both cab seats swivel and the seats have leather trim and cloth inserts, and look great, too. The demountable table has a lower leaf to offer dining space for four. There is a kit to join the table, when lowered, to be extended to an occasional extra child berth, too.
To make this campervan off grid friendly the following features are notable: 85 litre fridge freezer, inverter and 5, 230v outlets on mains hook up, Van Bitz battery master, Lithium battery for long life and higher usable capacity, without the fear of battery damage as is the case for NiMh batteries, this option costs four times as much as a guide.
There is an inverter in the garage section with a 700 Watt 230 Volt socket to charge e-bikes etc, not forgetting the lithium battery and solar panel, to keep the leisure battery topped up. The present owner has used a small electric heater via the inverter as a space heater, and that has proven very effective and efficient in keeping the van warm....and there is the standard option of water and space heating on gas, too.
The cab offers an extra-spec' large screen, fully integrated sat nav, audio and a multi-function steering wheel. A six speed gearbox and a 2.2 litre engine ensure relaxed and economical motorway cruising.
A solar panel, bike rack and satellite dome are among upgraded spec' features.
Further additional features totalling nearly £12k, include alloy wheels, lithium pack, 230 V outlet whilst driving, front and side cab blinds, Eco pack, and Relax and Safety, and Premium packs.
