The Toyota Alphard is a Japanese high-end interior and specification vehicle, and a great base for an attractive minivan camper. This vehicle is a conversion by Isle of Wight-based specialists Northstar.
Behind the driver’s seat is an essential kitchen featuring a 2-burner gas hob, a stainless steel sink with pumped water, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. A removable table can be affixed to the front of the kitchen.
A double bench seat with two additional 3-point seat belts is located beyond the kitchen, and converts into a rock’n’roll bed.
For in-vehicle power supply there is an external electrical hook up terminal, and the vehicle is equipped with two 240v 3-pin sockets, 1 x 12v socket, and 1 x dual USB socket. The vehicle is supplied with plentiful lighting options including four spot lights and two reading lights.
To add further versatility to the configuration, Northstar have fitted a pop-top roof tent (with three windows (2 x mesh and 1 x clear plastic) and zip covers) for standing space. This area could also be fitted with roof boards (not supplied) to use as additional berths.
