With a pop top with roof bars, a four-bike rack, a compact kitchen and a large compressor cool box/cold store, this campervan is an unusual proposition which will appeal to those wanting a daily drive vehicle, with off the beaten track capabilities. This is the two litre six speed engine producing a healthy 140 BHP, for relaxed cruising and decent torque. The paintwork is deep blue and has no signficant dents or stone chips.
Oversized rims with all terrain tyres, a certified RIB bed with a smooth profile when set down, and a quality pop top make this is a practical family option. The cab and hab' sections are well presented, with VW logo floor mats.
The cab offers three belted seats, the double cab seat back folds flat, and could be adapted to swivel to face the living section. This part of the vehicle offers a single burner hob and a sink, with storage underneath including the gas bottle. There is a small child berth to the side of the rock and roll bed, and the roof offers a double sized bed with a foam mattress. There are no rips or tears to the pop top fabric, which is in excellent condition and offers zip out panels for ventilation. The top is raised via gas struts.
LED lights, 230v outlets when hooked up and 12v outlets to charge tech when off grid. Storage cubbies and nets add convenience too.
The compressor cold store can run off 230 and 12V and there is a take off for the latter under the rear seat shelf where the cold store lives, in practice on a bright day the cold store unit can run directly from the solar panel.
There is a lot of storage throughout, under seats, and in cupboards as well as the rear shelf under which is found a compressor cool box. The latter runs off a solar panel (portable, removable and supplied) for effective off grid stays. The leisure battery is charged from the solar and via a split charge relay system, there is an RCD unit, smoke alarm, fire extinguisher, levelling chocks and 230v lead to help get you started, too.
The tailgate has a four bike rack fitted, which is perfectly balanced and easily raised (without bikes attached).
