The K-Yacht comes with a high level of standard equipment but this one comes with some very relevant extras - Truma Habitation AC,Protec Full vehicle cover,a bespoke windscreen cover,Tracker security package,additional locker contacts and a TV which is stored in a slide up cabinet. It is estimated that these extras alone cost around £5k.
The external styling is bold and distinctive and ties in with the marine theme which is very much a Mobilvetta feature. Body construction is entirely wood-free, using what Mobilvetta calls iTech insulating technology. The stylish looks are finished off with a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
Entering the motorhome on the passenger side,to the left are the captain’s seats which swivel towards the lounge, which has an L-shaped half-dinette containing two travel seats around a fixed-pedestal/movable-top table, plus a single nearside seat, and a wall-mounted television bracket. The rear lounge has L-shaped bench settees around a coffee table which is electrically adjustable and facing a lounge unit, which conceals a pop-up television station.
All furniture is in high-gloss white, coupled with tan wood finish and silver handles. All-LED lighting complements the look with ample ceiling units and ambient strips. It all adds up to a truly luxurious interior.
The central kitchen has masses of storage, a huge sink, a three-burner hob with overhead extractor, an oven/grill and 150-litre Thetford AES fridge and freezer, situated opposite. A nifty feature is the dedicated travelling storage for the sink’s chopping board lid – a slide-out unit in the top drawer, which can provide extra work surface. The cupboard over the wardrobe, alongside the kitchen, contains a third TV point.
The washroom really has the wow factor. Stylish, in black and white moulding, it has a roomy, separate curved shower cubicle integral with the washbasin. The loo has plenty of space around it, there’s lots of storage, and a high-level mirror over the basin.
There are two huge transverse drop-down beds, both with mattresses over sprung wooden slats, and privacy curtains. The rear bed is 1.90m x 1.42m, electrically lowered, and accessed by a low ladder. It has handy wall cubbies all round. The front bed (1.87m x 1.37m), pulls down manually (very easily), once the cab seat-backs have been inclined forwards, and is slightly higher.
Storage and equipment is excellent throughout, with large overhead cupboards, a good wardrobe, a couple of between-floor cubbies, a rear store with doors either side, two side wet-lockers, plus the large gas locker. Inside, there are plenty of mains sockets (including in the washroom), plus USB ports and, externally, there’s a BBQ point, mains socket with TV point and satellite hook-up.
Suitable for all-year use, heating is provided by the Truma Combi 6, there’s a heated floor, and the external waste tank and valve are insulated.
