Here we have for sale an Auto-sleeper Gatcombe 2 Berth Motorhome. A sought after model on it's own this one has the rare combination of a VW T4 Transporter 2461cc Diesel Engine with an Automatic Gearbox.
The Gatcombe is unusual in it's advanced one piece fibreglass monocoque body construction. This one has the "standard" layout of an inward facing settee on the nearside and a dinette incorporating a forward facing seat on the offside, the forward facing seat has a 3-point seat belt. In front of the forward facing seat is a very useful flat storage area if the seat is not used. The sleeping area can be arranged as a good size double or as two single beds. The dining area can be arranged with one or two tables as required. All the seats and carpets in excellent condition. There is lots of storage space under the settee or bed areas as well as in the over cab storage cupboards. The TV storage area is above the built in cocktail cabinet. A wardrobe houses the table legs. The washroom is beautifully clean with Thetford cassette toilet, vanity unit and drop down hand basin, ducted heating and large dressing mirror. Shower and wash basin have hot and cold water. A Trumatic thermostatically controlled space heater provides warmth. The end kitchen consists of a four burner Spinflo Caprice tower cooker and grill with oven below. Alongside the cooker unit is the sink and drainer unit with cupboard below. Sink has fold up work top cover. Sink has mixer tap for hot and cold running water. Again the cooker and kitchen area is exceptionally clean. Two gas bottles are included in the sale.
A new roof mounted solar panel has been professionally fitted recently (cost around £600), as well as recent leisure battery and vehicle battery. New rear tyres have also been fitted recently. There is a partial service history present as well as VW handbooks and the Auto-sleeper original manual. An engine service, cam belt kit and habitation service was carried out in 2017 along with other work. Details on request. The service stamps and bills along with MoT history combine to indicate the the recorded Low Mileage is correct. This motorhome also has a 6 digit registration plate that may interest some.
