Hymer are probably the most famous name in the motorhome industry and they are renowned for their design and build quality.
This gorgeous 2001 motorhome bears all the classic hallmarks of a Hymer and comes with the kind of specification you would expect to find in a motorhome twice its price.
Built on the superb Fiat Ducato chassis this lovely motorhome is driven
by the powerful yet economical 2.8 litre engine which has plenty of
power to climb hills with ease. It is a left hand drive vehicle so is
perfect for touring the continent although it is equally as easy to
drive on British roads thanks to its high seating position. Being an
A-Class you have excellent visibility all around but it does come with a
reversing camera if you need it. It has covered 88,610 kilometres which equates to 55,059 miles. The layout comprises of an end kitchen, an over cab bed and a lounge and dinette centrally located in the motorhome.
The kitchen has a 3 gas burner hob, a 3 way fridge with ice box, a sink with stainless steel mixer tap and plenty of cupboard and drawer space at floor level. There is also storage space in the overhead lockers. Stored away in one of the lockers is a free standing oven and grill which works off mains. Above the kitchen area is one of the great features of this motorhome, a Dometic habitation air conditioning unit which is invaluable when you tour those hot European countries.
The bathroom has a separate shower with a folding screen, a cassette toilet, a wash basin with mixer tap, a bathroom cabinet to store your toiletries and a large mirror so you have everything you need to keep yourself fresh on your travels.
The lounge dinette is just a wonderful area to relax in and is flooded with loads of natural light. There is a long side facing sofa to sprawl out on and at night time this converts into a bed larger than a single but smaller than a double. On the opposite side is a forward facing seat fitted with a safety belt and a large table to either dine on or use your laptop. The windows are fitted with fly screens and blinds and are double glazed. Above the cab is a huge bed measuring approximately 74 x 53 inches and unlike some motorhomes it offers plenty of headroom when you are lying down.
The specification on this motorhome is extremely impressive and at the asking price it is a real bargain. There is a self-seeking satellite dish, solar panel, an inverter, habitation air conditioning, a TV/DVD player, gas suspension, external BBQ point, tow bar, bike rack, wind out awning and the fantastic Gaslow system which makes touring the Continent a doodle. Heating and hot water both run off gas and there is an onboard 100 litre fresh water tank and a waste tank that takes 80 litres.
