The bodywork is in excellent condition and is furnished with colour coded Borbet alloys and has a full sized spare under the rear of the garage between the manually operated stability legs. From an exterior perspective the vehicle has a recent large wind out awning, external gas bbq point and shower point, Calor gas bottle and also refillable LPG bottle, Vision plus digital aerial and booster, very large garage area, LED lights, 150 watt solar panel with smart charger and stainless steel exhaust. There is also a removeable bike rack which can support up to 120kg in weight. The overall mileage shows 206000 kilometres on the clock which roughly equates to 128,750 miles BUT the engine was fully replaced 62,000 miles ago in 2011.
From an interior perspective the vehicle is in excellent condition. Sleeping accommodation can be found in a large rear French style bed (with new memory foam mattress) next to the comprehensively fitted washroom, both of which can be closed off from the rest of the motorhome. The forward saloon area quickly converts to a large single bed. The driver and passenger seat both swivel to face the rear of the vehicle and make up a seating/dining/socialising area for up to 6 people. There is a large TV and DVD in this area too. The kitchen area has a 3 ring hob, large sink with mixer tap, recently acquired under counter large fridge with inbuilt freezer compartment, numerous drawers and airline style overhead lockers which have new dampers fitted to the opening mechanism. Opposite the kitchen is a large wardrobe with fixed hanging rail and safe. The washroom comprises a Thetford cassette w.c. a vanity unit with sink and mixer tap and a full size shower with mixer tap, protective tray mat and separate folding door to keep the shower private within the overall washroom. A tambour style sliding door has been fitted to the bathroom for convenience but for VW enthusiasts looking at authentic specification, the original washroom door and bed mattress are included in the sale.
The habitation enjoys an evaporative cooling system with heating provided by a Truma boiler. In recent times the steering wheel has been replaced, as have the carpets throughout the vehicle and the seats have been re-trimmed with the Karmann logo. The current owner (since 2017) has meticulously replaced roof lights and glazing panels and fitted sub-woofers in the front and rear connected to the new head unit and speaker system. The vehicle also has new blinds and flyscreens. Included in the sale are chocks, thermal windscreen cover and VW mat for under the canopy, steel winter wheels and tool box with hydraulic jack.
LED lights have been fitted both internally and externally and the vehicle has a 2.5TDi engine with ultra reliable gear drive so no cambelt issues. Security is provided by way of factory fitted alarm, central locking and a separate sim based tracker. Further peace of mind is provided by a key based locking mechanism in the dashboard which prevents any movement of the vehicle when activated. Weight is 3500kg so can be driven on a standard driving licence and the last habitation report was competed in August 2023.
