Dethleffs are German built motorhomes renowned for their quality and that is very apparent with this motorhome. It's built on the exceptional Ford Transit chassis, has a powerful yet economical 2.2 litre engine and with a gross weight of 3500 kg it can be driven by anyone on a standard UK driving licence. It has only had 2 owners from new and it will make a fantastic travelling partner for a couple or a family of 4.
In the cab there is air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, driver and passenger airbags, a Pioneer radio cd with Bluetooth and a reversing camera. Driver visibility is excellent and on the Transit base this motorhome is a real pleasure to drive.
At the rear you have a fixed French bed which measures 74 x 53 inches. Raise the bed on its power struts and underneath you have plenty of storage space which can also be accessed via the external side locker. There is also plenty of additional storage courtesy of the overhead lockers. With a huge payload of approximately 730 kg this motorhome allows you to pack plenty onboard if you want to go long term touring. The other 2 berths are a double bed which makes up from the dinette area.
The bathroom which is next to the bedroom has a separate shower with a perspex screen, a Thetford cassette toilet, a wash basin with mixer tap, a storage cupboard and a mirror. A large window and a skylight give you plenty of natural light to get ready in the morning. As you exit the bathroom on your right you have a large full length wardrobe to hang clothes and on the other side are numerous shelves.
The mid-kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a gastronomic experience each evening. It has a 3 gas burner hob, a gas oven and grill, a stainless steel sink with a mixer tap and a 3 way fridge freezer. Once you've prepared your meal you can enjoy it in the lovely dinette area with its large dining table which can be removed and stored away when not in use. Both front seats swivel so you can comfortably dine with up to 4 people in real comfort. After your meal you can curl up on the sofas and watch satellite TV as this motorhome has a satellite dome.
If you prefer to go off the beaten track and wild camp you can do this in this Dethleffs as it has a solar panel which will keep your leisure battery topped up and heating and hot water run off gas. Other features include a tow bar, spare wheel and an electric step.
If you are looking for a really built great value motorhome that offers plenty of storage then look no further than this lovely vehicle. Like any motorhome of its age it has a few age related exterior marks but overall it's in excellent condition.
