This is a beautiful example of a VW T2 Early Bay Camper Van that has been extremely well looked after and loved. The T2 Early Bay Campers are classic, stylish Campers and this one certainly fits the bill. The most important thing with any classic is that they must be well maintained and this definitely is the case with regular oil changes, up to date recent services and constant care and attention.
The T2 is stunning inside and has a number of modern features including a wonderful rock and roll bed, Fridge Freezer, Propex heating system, 2 ring gas burner, grill, cold water tap, sink and drainer. It also comes with a fantastic Kenwood touch screen music system with Satellite Navigation and telephone Bluetooth connectivity.
Lola drives like a modern van, the engine was replaced is 2014 and was given an upgrade to a 1776cc T.E.S Big Bore. It has only done 1950 miles on this engine. There are plenty of additional features which makes her stand out including, LiteSteer Power Steering, Electric ignition, Twin Solex Carburettors, battery Isolator, Ctek battery health protector, battery load balancer, Fire suppression system in the engine bay.
Externally the T2 is in great condition, benefiting from body work wax injection in 2015 and new window seals in 2016. The camper comes with VW bike rack, VW roof rack and has had anti-roll sways bars fitted front and back. The roof canopy is in decent condition but could do with some repair or replacing. A drive-away awning is also included in the sale giving you plenty additional sleeping space whilst away.
In summary this is a fantastic VW T2 Early Bay that is a real head turner and well worth consideration. It is so difficult to separate on VW from another but the stunning design, modern interior and engine upgrades certainly make this a must see. Most importantly Lola has been genuinely loved and cared for which is so important in a camper of this age.
